I just had PF3 lock up twice at KATL right after the AI Copilot made the "Ready to Taxi" call.

This is the first time it's happened. It might have something to do with multiplayer mode, so I'm going to turn that off to see if it helps.

Here are my log files at the time of the event.

Gil

FYI I just got a message when trying to connect to MSFS again that there were "Not enough hot slots for this application," and to stop and restart the simulator again. Perhaps that has something to do with the issue. I'll upload my log files again.

I can't se anything in the log to indicate PF3 had any problems, other than FS possibly stopped responding. Did the sim seem okay at the time of this issue? Is it happening all the time or are things now back to normal?

I don't think it's all the time. I've only seen it at KATL and with a particular PLN file. I haven't tested other PLN files from Atlanta yet, but with this file, it happens all the time.

I have uploaded a video to show you the behavior if you would like to dl it at:

Attached are the most recent log files after creating the video.

Gil

P.S. I loaded up another PLN at KATL and tested it. It also failed in the same way. Then I loaded up a PLN at KHOU, and PF3 worked without flaw.

Is KATL default MSFS or a third party? If default I'll try your flight plan myself. My 'guess' is it could be a bad AFCAD file (or whatever the equivalent is in MSFS) because at the point highlighted in you vid it is when PF3 is calculating a taxi route.

It's one of Microsoft's "bespoke" airports. I don't have any mods there.

Okay, thanks. I see by the log you were at parking North number 302 and you were about to be given runway 27L, so I'll try and replicate that here and see what happens. Unfortunately I doubt I'll have time to try until sometime tomorrow... then I'll report back.

Thanks. I don't think the parking spot or runway matters, but it won't hurt to duplicate those for your test. I'm anxious to know if I'm the only one experiencing this problem.

Hi Gil,

Sorry, meant to update this yesterday. I tried from KATL North parking 306 to runway 27L and had no problems at all. The taxi instructions did take 60 seconds to come through but that was the only thing I noticed. Other than that everything was fine. Well, apart from the fact I choice Parking 302 in MSFS but PF3 thought I was at 306.

The parking spot and runway most certainly 'could' make a difference in how long it takes PF3 to calculate the correct taxi route.

It has to be something to do with tha taxi route calculation and it might just be worth leaving PF3 to see if it does come back to life at some point. Don't click on the menu or anything, just leave it, even if it takes 10 minutes, at least it will prove where the problem is stemming from.

I've done that. I've left everything alone for thirty minutes in one test to see if PF3 would come back to life, but PF3 never responded even after that time.

There might be another addon, I guess, that could be interfering. I'll try to clean my Community folder out a little and see if that changes anything.
