Hi Martin
I had the web display working fine but I then had to reinstall PF3. Since then I have not be able to get the display to work. I am running PF3WebDisplay-210 and PF3 ver 3.20.0.

This is my Web display log:
10:52:15 502 PF3 Web Display: Server Release 2.0.3 - Template Release 2.0.5
10:52:15 512 PF3WebDisplay.ini file not found, using default values
10:52:15 521 PF3 address 127.0.0.1, PF3 Display port 1010, WebSocket port 7339
10:52:15 556 Starting PF3 Display interface ...
10:52:20 576 Trying to connect - retry 1

I have allowed an incomming connection for 7339 as per the manual. Also starting the exe as administrator.

Would appreciate any help.
Many thanks
John

Hi John,

The 'retry' message says that the PF3 Display port isn't open - please can you check with the following command: netstat -anop TCP | find /i ":10"
This should show port 1010 as 'Listening' - if it doesn't, then please can you check that PF3 Display is enabled in PF3 and set to use port 1010.

Also, you don't seem to be running release 2.1.0 - your screenshot shows 2.0.3 and template 2.0.5.
Also, it says that you aren't using an ini file - I assume that's correct and you're using the default settings.

Please can you check that you un-zipped the latest version to the correct location.
If you right-click on the exe file, select 'Properties' and 'Details' you will see the version number.

Cheers,
Martin

PS You don't need to run the exe file as Administrator - it gets the correct privileges automatically when it runs.

Hi Martin
1. netstat -anop TCP does not show i":10. The only mention of 1010 is as per the attached screenshot.
2. PF3 Display is enabled and set to 1010.
3. Now on 2.1.0.

Many thanks for helping me out.
John

Martin
For some reason it is now working. If I have any more problems I will post here.

Many thanks and thanks for making Web Display.

John

OK, so that screenshot shows that PF3 (I'm deducing that it's process 22160) is listening on ports 1008, 1009 and 1010, as expected.
Is Web Display now working, or are you still having issues?

Cheers,
Martin

Thanks Martin for your help. I am using PF3 with X Plane 12, I'm having a blast. I really like the hints box that PFEtoXplane has.
Regards
John
